the people here lock up not only their doors but
gate their doorsteps
and clearly have at some point liked to make things
out of bricks
they are tolerant
but still require you to spend money quite a bit of money
only in this city have I met beggars leading dogs on
leashes it is civilized
and has bridges radiating like strands of civilized cobweb
across their map
and there are no mountains within city limits not a one
but there is a sky stretching over us here all the same
