Biography
Aras is an
political underground black metal band. Was formed in early 2002 in Iran
(Shiraz) by Ehsan.K (guitar, vocals) and Rashid (drums).
After one month first rehersal demo had recorded two songs; 1. Shaah Kooseh (King Reguin)
, lyric is about Iran's last president Mr. Rafsanjani, 2. Monji E Asr (Saviour Of Age) ,
lyric is about Imam Mahdi (in moslims beliefs). After recording this titles, Ehsan
recorded Bahaar E Shoom (Dire Spring) in a solo project with only guitar.
In july 2003 was a arise in tehran and people with
academist lead went to streets for oppose with islamic republic positive laws and this
arise began 2 weeks before behest day. and Islamic republic police and special guard kill
many peoples and throw to earth many academist from high builldings and nab many people
and academist until they can quite arise of people befor behest day.
And 2 day before behest day, Ehsan traveled to city
Tehran for contribute in arise but he don’t saw any people and any battle. So he was
very angry and return to his city Shiraz and recorded a song titled Sokoot (Silence) with
lyric about silence of people on that day. Statement by Ehsan about Sokoot : "Sokoot
is my scream on peoples who saw but act no reaction and act no reaction versus this
bloodbath. greeting to this people". Sokoot is very dark atmospheric music with dire
vocal and so meaningful lyric about that event.
After recording Sokoot, Rashid
departed band and went to military and ehsan was alone in the band. Ehsan contributed in Kosoof
album of Kavan band (first rock band in iran) . After more day Ehsan
recorded two songs; 1. Aroosak E Ghashang E Man (My Pretty Doll) with Ebrahim
as the guest vocalist, and 2. Marsiyeh (Elegiac).
After this, Ehsan decided to
record first demo that titled Bloody Aras and he was rerecorded four
previous songs, 1. Bbahar E Shoom, 2. Monji E Asr, 3. Sokoot and 4. Aroosak E Ghashange E
Man with a new song titled Bloody Aras. Bloody Aras is very nice instrumental. Ehsan was
inspired from Ahmad Batabi and Khosro Gol E Sorkhi (two Iranian liberal in tehran arise
and nab with police and they are politic prisoner in obliette yet) Bloody Aras song. Final
song of Aras is Mind Of Chuck. That is a tribute to Chuck Schuldiner (dead vocalist and
guitarist of band Death).
